CAISI Research Program at CIFAR Annual Meeting 2026: AI Safety at Societal Scale
I have been invited to participate to the annual meeting of Canada’s formal research and regulatory-support organization for AI Safety.
About CAISI
The CAISI Research Program at CIFAR Annual Meeting brings together leading Canadian academic researchers, government policymakers, industry leaders, and civil society representatives to advance shared research questions on AI safety. Now in its second year, the meeting will be held in Toronto, Ontario on November 12th during AI Safety Week. Programming features researcher showcases from across the CAISI portfolio, spanning technical and socio-technical approaches to AI safety, alongside a facilitated World Café on AI’s risks to democratic and social systems, a keynote, and a networking reception. The meeting is designed to surface knowledge gaps, build cross-disciplinary connections, and identify where Canada is best placed to lead.
